Hello! I have had several requests for prayers that address people praying for their spouses and children. I will be adding to this page as I get new prayers. Remember: mix your faith with the words of the prayers to get the victory!
NOTE: This page is a work in progress! I will be adding more prayers for other family situations as time goes on. I have the list down here to keep me on track. Right now, I have the husband, wife and marriage prayers. It’s been a while since I’ve added anything, but I will make this a priority. Thank you for your patience!
PRAYER FOR A GODLY HUSBAND
Father, I come boldly to Your throne of grace in the Name of Jesus! As one of Your redeemed I come! Your Word says that I can come boldly and confidently to Your throne of grace for help in time of trouble. I thank You for sending Jesus to purchase for me access to Your very heart Father! I have the awesome privilege of having an intimate, fellowship with You every day! This is such a treasure to me Father.
Father, I thank You for being my Husband. You have a husband’s heart towards me and I know there isn’t a man on earth who can compare with Your great love for me. You are everything to me Lord. But Your Word says that “He who finds a good wife, finds a good thing.” And “it is not good for a man to be alone.” You created me to be a blessing to one of Your sons and I want to be just that—a blessing to one of Your sons.
Father, I realize how precious I am to You. That my value is far above rubies and fine gold. I am Your princess—Your precious daughter and because if this, I know that You would never give me as a wife to just anyone. Only the best of Your sons is good enough for me. And You desire to give Your sons only the best wife. I ask Father to be given to one of Your sons as a wife that we may advance Your Kingdom together as partners, lovers, friends and siblings in the Body of Christ.
Father, You alone walk the hallways of the hearts of men and women. We cannot hide anything from You. Therefore, I ask Father, that You would examine my heart and cleanse me from all unrighteousness and create in me a clean heart. A heart that will show forth the love of Jesus to my husband. You know the heart of the man that You want to bless with me. I ask that he too, will be cleansed by the blood of Jesus.
Father, I refuse to compromise Your standards for me. My husband will love me as Christ loves the church, even willing to die for me. He exhibits all the fruits of the Spirit—Agape love, joy and gladness, peace, patience and an even temper, forbearance, kindness, goodness and faithfulness. He is gentle and humble under Your mighty hand. He shows amazing self-control and restraint. He pays no attention to a suffered wrong and he is not prideful, but he is humble and a servant of God. He is a man of integrity and is above reproach. His love and devotion to me is second only to his love and devotion to YOU. You are his everything. He is a man that I can respect and submit to in love. I know Father that You have sons in Your Kingdom who have these traits and characteristics.
Father, I submit this to You in faith and in the name of Jesus. Nothing is impossible with You! I will wait patiently for the man You choose for me. I will not look at men of the world. My husband is one of Your sons and I refuse to settle for anything less than the best. You always have the best for me!
I thank You and praise You for receiving my heart’s desire today Father and I will praise You every day for my husband until the day I die! I know that faith is NOW, so I will thank You now for him! I ask all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen!
PRAYER FOR A GODLY WIFE
Father, I come boldly to Your throne of grace, according to Your Word. I thank You for all the blessings of the Kingdom that You have given me and most especially I thank You for sending Jesus to die in my place so that I can live forever with You! I praise You today for Your goodness and loving kindness to me. I’m so grateful to be called Your son.
Father, Your Word says that it is not good for a man to be alone. Your Word also says that “he who finds a good wife, finds a good thing and obtains the favor of the Lord.” Father, my heart’s desire is to find a good wife that can be a good helpmate to me. I refuse to look at the worldly women all around me because I know that You want only the best of Your daughters for me as a wife. I will not settle for anything less than Your perfect will in my marriage.
Father, Your Word shows me what a good wife is and that her value is far above rubies or pearls. She is loving, and she loves me second only to her devotion and love for You. She is kind and generous. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She is committed to the welfare of her household and her family. Many daughters have done well, but she excels them all!
Father, I ask for a wife such as this. Help me to be the kind of man You want for her because I know that You want only the best for her as well! I want You to be the foundation of our marriage and the Rock in our family. I thank You for this wonderful gift and I promise Father, that I will treasure her and love her as Christ loves the Church. I will even lay my life down to protect her and my children.
Father, I thank You for hearing my prayer today and I am confident that You will bring this wonderful woman into my life. I will not grow weary in the waiting, but I will faithfully work in Your Kingdom until that joyous day comes when I meet her. I ask all these things in the name of Jesus! Amen and Amen!
PRAYER FOR SALVATION/RESTORATION OF A LOST HUSBAND
Father, I come before Your throne of grace today to bring my husband __________ to You. He is lost/backslidden and desperately needs You in his life. Your Word says that I can come boldly to Your throne of grace for help in times of trouble and sorrow. Your Word also says that my household shall be saved through the precious blood of Jesus.
Father, Your Word says that my godly life should be a witness to my husband and family. Help me Lord to be a shining light of Your great love for people, especially my husband. Help me to be LOVE to him. Your love—Agape love to him.
I thank You that as Christ is formed in me, I am becoming Your love in the earth! I thank You Father that I endure long and am patient and kind. I am never envious or jealous. I am not boastful or vain nor do I display myself pridefully. I am not conceited, arrogant or inflated with pride. I am not rude or unmannerly and I do not act unbecomingly. I do not insist on my own rights or my own way and I am not self-seeking. I am not touchy, fretful or resentful and I pay no attention to a suffered wrong. I take no account nor do I hold grudges for the evil done to me. I walk in forgiveness because You did Jesus. I do not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness but I rejoice when right and truth prevail. I bear up under anything and everything that comes my way. I am ever ready to believe the best of my husband and anyone that I come into contact with. My hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and I endure everything without weakening. I never fail because Your love never fails!
I thank You Father that my husband ________ will be drawn to Your great love and salvation because he will encounter YOU through me. Help me Lord to become love that he will come into the wonderful relationship that You and I enjoy!
I thank You Father that he is like David, a man after Your own heart. His devotion to You is everything to him. Thank You for the work You are doing in ________’s life. Thank You for strengthen the bonds of love between us in our marriage. Thank You for granting me wisdom as I live a godly life before You and him.
Holy Spirit, I ask that today You would begin/continue to remove the stony heart and replace it with a heart of flesh. A heart that is becoming more and more tender towards You and Your ways. I ask for laborers to come across his path today to speak a word in season to him that will draw him ever closer to You. Set a fire down in his soul that he cannot contain nor can he control. He wants more of You Lord. More and more and more…
Father, I claim my husband for the Kingdom of God and I declare that my household shall serve the Lord of Hosts! My husband is a man of honor and integrity. He is full of the love of God and he loves me as Christ loves the Church. He is a good father, even as You are a good Father. He is faithful to fulfill all his responsibilities to You Lord and to his family. I am so blessed to be his wife! I give You all the praise and glory for the wonderful husband You have given me.
Father, I draw the bloodline of the Lamb of God around my husband today. I release the precious blood over every area of his life: his mind, his body, his soul, his spirit, his job and everything that concerns him, I know Father that You are perfecting! I plead the blood of Jesus over our marriage and family and declare that our house serves the Lord! I apply the blood of Jesus to our marriage and thank You that our marriage overflows with LOVE—Agape love, brotherly love and physical love. We are more in love now than we have ever been and I am sure Father that tomorrow we will love one another more than we do today.
Thank You for _____________’s salvation and restoration as Your son. Thank You for Your great love for him. Thank You for healing our marriage and establishing it on the Rock of Ages! All glory to You Father. I ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen!

PRAYER FOR THE RESTORATION & HEALING OF A MARRIAGE
Father, I come boldly to Your throne of grace as Your Word says for help during this difficult time. My marriage has been torn apart by the enemy and I come to Your very Court today to object to his operations against my family! I refuse to allow him to destroy what You have joined together. I ask that my faith stand be recorded in the Court today and I ask for the complete healing and restoration of my marriage in the name of Jesus Christ.
Father, I thank You for my husband/wife and I believe that You are working in his/her heart to bring him/her even closer to You than he/she has ever been. Let a fire be set in his/her soul that he/she can’t contain or control! Set him/her on fire for Jesus! Let him/her become the man/woman of God that You have called him/her to be.
Father, I thank You for sending Jesus do die for him/her to live for You. I claim him/her for the Kingdom of God and I now release the Kingdom of God into his/her life wherever he/she is. I ask for laborers to cross his/her path today to bring a word in season that will transform him/her into the Son of Your love: Jesus.
Lord I bring to You the pain and wounds in my heart and soul and place them on the altar. I choose now to forgive _________ for what he/she has said and done against me. I love him/her very much and I want my family restored to be everything You have ordained it to be. Jesus, I ask that You would pour in the oil and the wine into the wounds of my heart and soul and apply the precious Balm of Gilead to them. I now pull out all fiery darts from the enemy using my husband/wife and cast them away. Thank You Jesus for healing me. I am now free to LOVE ___________ as You do. Let me see my marriage like You do. You always see with the eyes of faith and I ask for the supernatural gift of faith to stand in the gap for my spouse.
Father, today I stand on Your Word that says You are turning the hearts of the fathers back to the children. In Your Word, in Malachi, it says that You hate divorce and the putting away. Your Word says that what You have joined together let no one put asunder. I believe Your Word Lord. I choose today to believe the report of the Lord: Your Truth and I will not agree with the unfruitful works of darkness in Jesus’ name.
Father, today, I come into agreement with You for the healing and restoration of my marriage. I know that it is not Your perfect will that it end in divorce and destruction. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, but You come that we can have life and have it abundantly! I believe You Father. I believe YOU. I thank You that not only is my marriage healed and restored but it is even better than it has ever been because I believe that is what is in Your heart for us. Grant us both wisdom that we may dwell with one another in knowledge and wisdom. You see with the eyes of faith and You see our marriage healed. I believe that Lord.
Spiritual Warfare over Marriage
I apply the Blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to my marriage right now in Jesus’ name. No power of darkness can stand before the Blood of the Lamb. I draw the bloodline of the Lamb of God around my sphere of influence now in Jesus’ name. This includes my marriage, my children, my finances, my material possessions, my relationships, my physical body and the bodies of my family and also my ministry. I decree and declare that no evil spirit or demon can cross this bloodline without facing utter destruction in the Name of Jesus.
I bind you Satan and all underlings assigned and ranged against my family and my marriage. I cancel every assignment sent against my marriage and family and I command every spirit to flee before the Name of Jesus and the Blood of Jesus! I resist you Satan and say “get behind me now!” You cannot have my family. You will not put asunder what my Father has put together! Father, I ask for the Host of Heaven to be released into this warfare for my marriage and my family to complete destroy the enemy ranged against this family.
Father, I give You praise and glory for healing my marriage and restoring our family in the unity of the Spirit! I thank You Father for bringing us closer than we’ve ever been and for completely making our marriage NEW. Not just repaired from damage but completely new because You make all things brand new! I thank You Father, for healing our family to the uttermost. Thank You for helping us to become Agape love to one another and to the rest of our sphere of influence! Thank You for making us a righteous tree full of the good fruit of the Spirit! A tree where the gifts of the Spirit flow freely from us to the world around us! You are so awesome Lord! Thank You for everything! I ask all these things in the Name of Jesus, who died so I can live the abundant life You have for me and my family! Amen and Amen!
